I trained in interior design at the University of Plymouth and then my career developed with positions at John Lewis, Design Village, Designers Guild and Foxton's.
There was then a break in my career, when I spent 6 months in France and when I returned to work, I got a good job, but not within my first love of interior design. However, I learnt additional business skills such as marketing, sales, budgeting and customer relations.
I then had a second career break to have my two boys, Thomas and Barnaby. When I was ready to consider a part time job, I realised it was the perfect opportunity to return to interior design on my own terms, by starting up on my own.
Designic Interiors was established in September 2013. My aim was to build a profitable interior design consultancy that specialised in Cotswold designed or manufactured furnishings. Flexible working would be important so I could continue to spend time with my boys, but I aim to be full time within four years when they would both be in school.
Good communication is key to building a successful client/designer relationship; regular contact ensures you are always kept informed at each stage of the project.
My combination of personal attention, creativity and professionalism guarantee satisfaction, saving you time and money, transforming your environment, increasing the value of your property and your enjoyment of it.
